Lone Star Showcase #7

One week into October and I'm finally feeling like it's time to change my decor to represent the Autumn season. It took long enough. Maybe it was the State Fair beginning last week that finally did it.

After last week's Lone Star Showcase it certainly reminded me that Christmas is not far away and vision of Christmas shopping have began to pop into my head.

As I stated last week, the video collection will move to once a month and weekly I will post my top three of the designs linked in the previous week's showcase.

Paper Tassels handmade by Diane at Home Sweet Homemade, caught my eye and got me thinking that I need to begin gathering materials to create my handmade Christmas decorations and gifts.  It's never too early to start a stash for scraps and leftovers components from previous projects.

Michelle of Circle Star Mosaics a variety of glass and gemstones to create her fashion designs.  Mosaic art is a wonderful way to use broken china, random beads and many other extra components from your work table.

Linda at Lonestar Wax Works has found a unique way to label and brand her line of candles. Linda says her candles offer a "Sweet, warm & comforting aroma of fresh baked sugar cookies rolled to perfection and is almost better than actually eating one!!"

Yum!  I can't wait to order some :)  These will make great gifts for my family that doesn't live in Texas.  I always try to send something with Texas flavor.

That wraps up a look at my faves from last week.  I can't wait to see what your guys link up for me to choose from next week.

See you on the Handmade In TX facebook page this weekend!

  1. hi Cindi ~ hope y'all had fun at the state fair! It's festival time here in Houston too. Thank you for including my little paper tassels in your showoff list. I'm totally addicted to making them. They're simple and so cute. And I'm off on another tassel tangent now, so I'm going to link up a different one. xo, diane
