The fall arts and crafts shows are gearing up and artists and working their little fingers to the bone as the create and prepare to set up their booths. Since I'm not doing any shows this year, I get to promote and shop! Woot!!! I'm excited!
For me...This weekend kicks off the tour of fall arts & crafts shows in my area of Texas. GrapeFest in beautiful Grapevine, TX. begins tomorrow evening and goes through Sunday. I think the weather might actually cooperate this year. Click here for a list of art & crafts vendors

The CowTown Indie Bazaar on October 15th looks to be packed full of handmade delights with 90 exhibitors! Wow! I can't wait to stroll the isles and meet some amazing artists. To find a list of vendors participating in the CowTown Indie Bazaar, click the image and find the "Artists" link.

Next is The Jingle Bash, November 19th... this is one party you don't want to miss if you live in the DFW area. Even if you don't it's worth the drive! Well heck! They all are!

Going South? Renegade Craft.com presents Holiday Austin on the last weekend of November. Vendor lists not published yet, so check back on that one for updates.
Now if you're thinking, "it's a bit late to be getting my vendor app in", you're right. But it's not too late to make plans for next season. Bookmark these sites and make notes in your calendars to begin looking early 2012 to get your applications in. If you're not sure of upcoming shows in your area, just Google "Arts and Crafts shows in Texas" you will see a plethora of pages and sites to find long lists of shows. Make a spreadsheet of ones you might be interested in signing up for. Log all of the contact information and websites for quick reference next year.

One more thing, check out Homespun: Houston Handmade, the Marketplace page has several artists who are raising money to donate to the American Red Cross of Central Texas to help with victims of the recent wildfires.
